A new family-friendly entertainment complex is set to partially open in Sharjah later this month.
The first phase of Madar, a planned 24 million sq ft mega-community, will open on Thursday February 27.
A number of attractions will open including a children’s play zone, a skatepark, and amphitheatre and a discovery centre.
There will also be a huge food district featuring 18 different kinds of cuisine.
The entire area is designed to be walkable and features green spaces, including more than 5,000 trees, and water features.
Arada, the property development company working on the project, has also said there will be a number of festivals and activities for families to visit in the coming months.
HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, said: “It has been our aim from the start to create communities that inspire and engage their residents and visitors.
“We are excited to see that vision come to life with the launch of Madar, a new home for entertainment and culture in Sharjah, a place that is already known the world over for its outstanding contribution to heritage and the arts.
“We look forward to welcoming members of the public to a destination that encourages creativity and adventure, where visitors of all ages can learn, relax and explore, all within a beautifully designed space.”
