Dubai’s thejamjar now hosting virtual art prompts

Just because you’re staying safe at home, doesn’t mean your creative flair has to dwindle.

If you’re looking new and interesting ways to stay arty thejamjar, Alserkal Avenue’s cool community space for all things creative, is now offering online art prompts from its Instagram page.

Budding artists can tune in every Saturday and Monday at 11am for an IGTV series that sees art instructors give virtual demonstrations on how to create quick and easy artwork, using simple materials that can be found in your home.

If you can’t get enough of virtual art sessions, starting on Thursday (April 16) thejamjar will also be hosting weekly live sessions via Instagram.

The expert instructors will go live with either a tutorial or an interesting topic of discussion giving followers the ability to communicate with them directly, while working on an art project – and all from the comfort of your sofa.

The soon-to-launch live sessions will take place every Thursday at 5pm.

Looking for more ways to stay creative and have fun at home? We’re rounding up loads of top ways to spend Time In, here for Dubai, here for Abu Dhabi and here for Sharjah.
Online prompts: Sat & Mon 11am. Live sessions: Thu 5pm. www.instagram.com/thejamjardubai, www.thejamjardubai.com.
