Sharjah’s Xposure International Photography Festival launches #HomeCaptured competition

Staring at the same four walls all day can get pretty boring, but it doesn’t have to be that way

With some creative lighting and a bit of selective cropping, even the most dull space can look incredible.

If you’re talented in the art of staging (whether professionally, or just for Instagram), Sharjah’s Xposure International Photography Festival has the competition just for you.

The festival organisers are looking for #HomeCaptured photos showing off the visual journey of our time in quarantine.

You can submit photos of anything you want, provided it was taken from inside your home or looking out from a window, between April 1 and the end of the competition, wich is yet to be announced.

You’ll also be able to submit one image a day for the contest’s duration.

The images will be evaluated by a jury on a weekly basis, and will take into consideration the composition, technical quality and lighting.

The overall winner will receive US$1,000, while the runner up will get US$750. The winning entries will be posted on the xposurexpf social media accounts and on the Stay Home website
