A three-day public holiday for the UAE will take place in December

The UAE Cabinet has approved a three-day holiday in December.

Public and private sector workers will enjoy a public holiday on Sunday December 1 for Commemoration Day and two days' holiday for UAE National Day on December 2 and 3.

So, the good news is, if you already get weekends off, it looks like you can expect five days off at the end of November and beginning of December.

A public holiday has also been announced for Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (PBUH), which will be celebrated on Saturday November 9.

Earlier this year the UAE Cabinet announced that public holidays would be the same for both the public and private sectors for 2019 and 2020.

In addition, the school holidays for children in the UAE for 2020 have been announced including an eight-week summer holiday starting in July 2020.

So it's time to start making plans.
