Two intercity bus routes between Dubai and Sharjah relaunched

Travel between the two Emirates faster

If you’re travelling between Dubai and Sharjah, your journey looks set to be faster thanks to the resumption of two intercity bus routes.

Two intercity bus routes between the Emirates were relaunched by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, in coordination with Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority, on Sunday December 27.

Route E306 will be run by six double-decker buses, which startbfrom Al Ghubaiba Bus station in Dubai and heads to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. It goes every 20 minutes on the dedicated bus route of Al Mamzar.

Another six double-decker buses will travel along Route E307, which sets off from Deira City Centre Bus station. This heads to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah via Al Ittihad Road, and again departs every 20 minutes.

Around 1,500 passengers will be able to ride each route every day.

Meanwhile two intercity buses will be rerouted – Route E307A and Route E400, to travel via the dedicated bus lane of Al Mamzar, instead of Al Ittihad Road.

Health and safety precautions are being taken, and passengers must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.

On January 1 two new metrolink stations will open in Dubai.

Route F45 starts from Al Furjan Metro station and goes to Discovery Gardens. The bus will run every 20 minutes during peak hours. The second, Route F56, starts from Dubai Internet City and heads to Al Khail Metro Station. This will run every 15 minutes during peak times. This will make mobility around the city easier.
